February 13th, 2022 – When the Israelites were in the wilderness, God laid out a very specific way in which they can speak to Him and where He would dwell to do so.   It was through a complex array of offerings and a place called the Tent of Meeting which itself was built to God’s specific instructions.   Even then, Moses was often the one providing mediation between the people of Israel and God.   But a promise foretold of in a dream had by Jacob came true in the person of Jesus Christ.   On his death, the final atonement for our sins was paid in His blood.   The curtain was torn in the temple and no longer did we have to speak to God through intermediaries.  We can speak to Him directly.   The heavens opened and we have access to the Creator of all things.
