Sept. 12th, 2021 – In today’s scripture, Jesus confounds the disciples again with bold declarations about his origination, his destination, and his overall purpose.  Light was an important symbol to the Israelites who recalled their days in exile in the wilderness and how God protected them in the darkness of that time.   Here, Jesus we learn who Jesus is and what His reason for being.   With Christ, we have that conduit to commune with God.  God is now accessible and open to our needs.  The creator of the universe knows us and wants us to live in Heaven with Him, but if without Christ that is impossible.   It was bold words then and even bolder today.   Without Christ, there is no accession.   Follow Him.
