Put Me to the Test

January 30, 2022 - In the Old Testament, the idea of tithing is often associated with possessions or money but if you read carefully what God is instructed, it wasn't necessarily about returning financial blessings, but returning to God a portion of what God has given us.  This can mean a lot of things.  While money is certainly something that our ministries need to survive, God also wants us to use our abilities in other ways.  But what he desires more than anything is a relationship with His people.   He wants to commune with us daily.  To take our gifts and build something with Him as a constant companion in the effort.   Time with God, financial support of His ministries, and physical labor pursuing God's purpose for our lives - these are the gifts he desires.   And He returns back more than we can ever give. Malachi 3:8-13
