November 6th, 2022 – In today’s sermon, Pastor Jonathan introduces us to a magician named Simon who had gained fame and assuredly fortune.  He was so good, that people believed he had a power from God.   But when he sees what Phillip is doing, healing and casting out evil spirits, Simon was quick to believe because he knew his magic was just tricks, sleight of hand, smoke and mirrors.   He wanted the power of Phillip but thought it was something that could be bought.   He learned that the Holy Spirit is something that isn’t bought.  It comes from a true and sincere belief in the resurrected power of the Christ.

Acts 8:5-8
