June 21st, 2020 - In this morning's sermon, Pastor Jonathan reminds us that in today's world, the road that leads to destruction is a wide one. Christian's can get caught up in the crowd and find themselves following along down that road, instead of the harder, more narrow road. Through our media, social and otherwise, we can get caught up in the fervor of the world's ever changing conflicts and forget that we are to walk as Christ walked. It is very easy to get our emotions manipulated through calls to action that end up being counter to the teachings of Christ. In a dismissive culture, all things are permissible, but not all things are beneficial. Hate, greed, idolatry, immorality, and impurity have no place in a person who has committed themselves to Christ. As Christian's, how then do we rise above our emotions and correct our actions? How can we become a part of a solution that unifies when the world's desire is to separate? Put on the new self. Increase your relationship with Christ Jesus and use the power of the Holy Spirit to help you in the process of renewal.
