Vessels of Honor

May 7th, 2020 - In today's sermon, Pastor Jonathan reminds us that throughout the Bible, God's choices of those to lead His people was made not through outward judgements but through the heart.   While the world makes all sorts of judgments based on outward appearances which include everything from the clothes we wear, the type of cars we drive and even the color of our skin.  God makes His decisions on the content of the heart.  When we cleanse ourselves of evil things, thoughts and actions our relationship with God deepens and our righteousness through holiness and makes us into a new creation pleasing to God.  This cleansing happens from being sanctified through the blood of Jesus Christ.  If you see things in the world today that needs changing, make Jesus Christ  your Lord.  Flee immoral things.  Pursue righteousness and call on Him for strength to battle sins.  And become a positive force for change in your life and the lives of others. 2 Timothy 2:20-26
