Have you ever felt like the whole world was against you? That everything you once did—the things that used to work—no longer seem to help? When we’re young, we often rely on resilience and energy to push through hardship. But as we grow older, that youthful strength fades, and we can no longer overcome challenges the same way.  That’s why it’s vital to live with trust in the Lord. When we lean on Him first, He gives us the strength and wisdom to face what we cannot handle alone. True peace comes not from chasing our own desires, but from seeking God’s purpose for our lives. As CS Lewis notes in The Joyful Christian, “Aim at Heaven and you will get Earth ‘thrown in’: aim at Earth and you will get neither.” God knows the longings of your heart, but the heart doesn’t always want what’s good for us. His vision for your future is far clearer than your own. When we seek Him, we find Him and receive both His grace and His peace.

2 Chronicles 16:7-10
