When God calls us to a giving ministry it is not just to fulfill our obligation or to even enrich the church.  It is to satisfy a need in completing God’s work.  Many times we don’t need the financial gains we’ve been blessed with but with those gains we can give them into God’s keeping for Him to do the work He has planned.
