March 10th, 2024 – Stuck in their religious place, the Pharisees could not separate God’s glory from adherence to Law.   When they saw the paralytic man healed at the Pool of Bethesda, they didn’t marvel at God’s mercy by allowing this man to walk again.  They, instead, focused on the fact that he was ‘working’ by carrying his mat.   How often have we found ourselves in a similar place when God works out miracles that are contradictory to our understanding of scripture and how stubborn are we when it happens?
